Piolo Pascual, at one time during his younger days, admitted planning on entering priesthood and become a full-pledged priest.

He said that he was around 18 years old at the time and had even attended a seminar on how to be a priest.

The actor made this revelation during the media conference for his new movie, “Mallari.”

“I wanted to be a priest, I was I think, 18, I attended the seminar,” Papa P recalled.

The matinee idol said that he talked to a priest and opened up about his intention to become a man of the cloth.

“I remember, I had a conversation with a priest and I told him, gusto ko sanang magpari na lang para mas madali ang buhay. And then he said, ‘you have to be a college graduate first’,” the actor narrated.

Later on, Papa P said that when he changed sects, he decided on becoming a pastor, and so talked to his Pastor and opened up how to be one.

“I told my Pastor the same thing, ‘Pwede bang magpastor na lang ako para mas madali rin ang buhay.’ Sabi niya, ‘no, we need people like you in the business’,” Piolo revealed during the media conference.

He then said that perhaps being a priest or pastor is not really for him and so he just continued his acting career and is also now into producing films.

Piolo is a Pinoy actor who appeared on TV shows like Gimik and Mara Clara during the early 90s. He rose to prominence after being paired with Judy Ann Santos, with their love team becoming the talk of the town during the early 2000s. They did four multi-awarded movies during that time — Till There Was You, Kahit Isang Saglit, Don't Give Up on Us, and Bakit Di Totohanin.

In a previous report by KAMI, Piolo revealed that he has no time for a love life. The actor even indicated that his wife is his showbiz career, adding that he's busy nowadays and has adapted to a life without a partner. Nevertheless, Piolo said he has not closed the door on the idea of having his own family.

Papa P has been winning hearts of many women, including celebrities, for a long time. One example of such is Melai Cantiveros who took to Instagram and shared a cute photo of her and Piolo Pascual. The comedienne's kilig levels were over the top as based on her caption. Apparently, Papa P's stare is just something that could literally melt her. She then tagged Piolo and also Kyle Echarri, who photobombed.
