Aiko Melendez recently stirred online buzz after posting a new TikTok video she took with Filipino actor Julian Trono.

KAMI learned that the said video was shared via Instagram on Tuesday, June 20, with the video already garnering 141,000 views.

However, Aiko's post was met with criticism from netizens who called her out for dancing before her session.

In the comments section, Aiko advised the netizens to read her caption again, saying the video was taken "before the session."

"Please Read the caption po. Clearly, it says “before session,” it means wala pa roll call, and that was 30 mins before session, so wala kami violate na ruling. FYI… I know the ruling," she wrote.

Aside from this, Aiko clarified that they were just celebrating since the "additional 1000 bonuses" of their employees was approved.

"We were also just celebrating because yesterday it was finally calendared in our agenda to approve the additional 10000 bonuses for our employees dahil nakuha namen ang COA unqualified opinion 3rd year in a row," she revealed.

Aiko Melendez is a well-known showbiz personality. She received the Best Supporting Actress award in 2018 for her role in "Rainbow's Sunset." Aiko ran for and won a seat on the Quezon City Council in 2001. She served for nine years until 2010.
