Paolo Contis has shared his opinion about his hosting stint on the "new Eat Bulaga."
In Philstar's report, the actor said that he already expected the bashing but also hopes that people could give them, the hosts, and the show itself, a chance.
“'Yung bashing expected naman 'yun. I just hope people can give us and the show a chance," he said.
He also noted that the only goal is to work and to make people happy, underscoring that they do not want to step on anyone.

“Ang goal lang naman namin is magtrabaho at magpasaya ng tao. Wala kaming gustong apakan na tao,” Paolo stated.
As per Rappler, the Legaspi twins, Cassy and Mavy, were also among the new hosts of the show.
Aside from hosting the "new" EB, Paolo also made headlines after Lian Paz revealed that her kids with the actor want to change their surname, as per Inquirer.
"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. "Eat Bulaga" went back live on air with its new lineup of hosts.
In its episode on Monday, Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Cassy Legaspi, Mavy Legaspi and Alexa Miro were unveiled as the hosts. Meanwhile, multiple trending topics related to the show also landed spots on Twitter.
Dapitan City Mayor Seth Frederick "Bullet" Jalosjos, the finance director of Television and Production Exponents, Inc. (TAPE Inc.), also shared a series of posts about "Eat Bulaga." His posts on Instagram Stories showed behind-the-scenes videos of the program's live episode on Monday. It also showed parts from the said hosts' opening number along with the local girl group XOXO.
