Sen. JV Ejercito did not hesitate to speak his mind concerning the "new Eat Bulaga," which aired live on June 5, 2023, following the exit of TVJ, and the other hosts on May 31.
The senator said that the new hosts must not be bashed, and further added that as talents, they are merely doing their jobs.
"But we shouldn't bash the talents of the new EB," he tweeted.
"Hanapbuhay nila as talents," he further added.

A prior tweet made by the senator revealed what he felt about the new show.
He said it was difficult to match the original hosts, like TVJ.
The senator also joked about how some of the talents were not really known, and so he said that it seemed they needed to put nameplates.
Eat Bulaga is touted as the longest-running noontime show, not only in the Philippines, but in the whole world. it first aired in the year 1979 over RPN 9. Later, it transferred to ABS-CBN and aired there for 6 years, and then on GMA7 where they stayed for more than 28 years.
