Lolit Solis, nalungkot sa pagpanaw ng isang staff member: “Hindi ko ma imagine na mawawalan kami ng kasamahan”

- She said that while it’s great being close friends with a colleague, it would also hit hard if such a co-worker dies

Lolit Solis recently admitted in a social media post that she wasn’t able to sleep last night upon learning that one of their colleagues in Startalk died.

“Hindi ako nakatulog kagabi, Salve. Na sad ako ng ibalita sa akin ni Gorgy na isa na naman staff namin sa Startalk ang namatay,” Manay Lolit said.

She then noted that it was their colleague, Oswald, who died first and now it was another co-worker, Archie, who also passed away.

The veteran showbiz columnist remarked that she’s been with the two for a long time and now, they’re gone.

“Una si Oswald, ngayon si Archie naman. Imagine mo na nakasama mo sila sa loob ng mahabang panahon na parang pamilya, tapos ngayon wala na sila,” she said.

The columnist then recalled how she became close to them and now she couldn’t imagine they’d already passed on.

“Ang saya ng naging pagsasama namin, naging close kami sa isa't isa. Hindi ko ma imagine na mawawalan kami ng kasamahan lalo pa nga na kahit hangga ngayon meron parin kami kahit paano ng communication sa bawat isa,” Manay Lolit said.

“Masarap pag naging close kayo ng mga kasamahan mo sa trabaho. Masarap dahil para kayong magka kapatid. Kaya parang isang malaking blow din sa iyo pag nawawala ang isa,” she added.

The veteran columnist then prayed for her colleagues and wished their souls to rest in peace.

“Rest in peace, Oswald and Archie, we will see each other again, but for now, pray for us, we need your prayers as well as we will pray for your souls to rest in peace. Amen,” Manay Lolit said.

Lolit is an entertainment reporter, talent manager, and host in the Philippines. She is well-known for her frank commentaries on different showbiz, social and political issues in the country. Lolit is undergoing dialysis twice a week due to issues with her kidneys.

Recently, she also felt sad when she learned that one of the patients at the dialysis center was not able to make it to the treatment. The reason behind the patient's inability to come was the lack of financial resources. Manay Lolit said that at times one needs to have the means financially to be able to sustain the treatment. She also admitted that this is one of the reasons why she does not want to be close to her co-patients because she easily gets affected by the happenings around her.

In a previous post, however, she also admitted that she would sometimes get annoyed when her co-patients in the dialysis room seem to be happy while she is feeling miserable. Her miserable feelings come from boredom and the body pains caused by sitting for four hours straight per session. The showbiz writer is also frustrated that some of her co-patients have been undergoing dialysis for years now. Lolit is hoping that the doctors will be able to give her new treatment options to eliminate the need for dialysis.
