During his guesting on Cristy Ferminute, Rey said Tom admitted to him about having a one-night stand.
“Nabanggit ba ni Tom sa'yo 'yung issue ng infidelity?" Cristy Fermin asked.
“Na siya (Tom) ang nahuli ni Carla na may third-party pala?” Nanay Cristy added.
To which the veteran actor replied, “Nay, honestly speaking, hindi po natin mako-consider na third party. Ang pangyayari ay "one-night stand" e. So, hindi po natin kino-consider 'yun na third party.”
“One-night stand? Inaamin mo na nagkaroon ng one-night stand si Tom with another girl,” Cristy, who seemed stunned, asked.
Rey then laughed and said, “Inaamin ko na 'yan bilang ako, lalaki ako. Ako, way back, nangyayari din po iyan sa akin. E, medyo normal po iyan sa buhay ng mga lalaki.”

Carla Abellana is an actress and endorser who works for GMA. She is now married to fellow Kapuso star Tom Rodriguez. Before entering showbiz, she graduated with honors at De La Salle University with a degree in psychology. She gained prominence for playing the lead role in the Philippine adaptation of the Mexican telenovela "Rosalinda."
Carla's father, Rey “PJ” Abellana, has recently broken his silence on Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez’s rumored split. During his guesting on Cristy Ferminute, Rey told Cristy Fermin that he was shocked when he learned the circulating rumor. He also revealed that he immediately texted his daughter about the issue. Carla then allegedly opened up to her father, “Tom and I now are not okay”.
Rey also revealed to Nay Cristy that he has already spoken with Tom amid the latter’s rumored breakup with Carla. According to Rey, Tom was the one who first reached out to him to explain his side of the story.
