Earlier, Robin accused the former commissioner of allegedly violating the rules of court.

The actor anchored his accusation on the act of Guanzon of releasing her separate opinion on the disqualification case of Bongbong Marcos.

It can be recalled that the actor was convicted for illegal possession of firearms in 1994. However, he was granted absolute pardon in 2016 by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.

The pardon that was accorded to him restored his political and civil rights, which was why he was able to run for a national position.

The Commission on Elections or COMELEC is a separate government entity, which was created by the Philippine Constitution. The COMELEC is composed of the chairman and six commissioners who draft and create policies and rules governing elections in the country.

COMELEC Commissioner Rowena Guanzon fell victim to fake food orders on her last day of office at the constitutional entity. More than five thousand pesos worth of food was delivered to her office today by six to seven riders who said they received the order with her name on it. The office of the now-retired commissioner denied the booking. Guanzon’s name was recently embroiled in controversy after she released her decision in the disqualification case against former Sen. Bongbong Marcos or BBM, ahead of the ponente, Commissioner Aimee Ferolino.

In December of last year, celebrities like Maris Racal, Sue Ramirez, and Gretchen Ho reacted hilariously when COMELEC used their names as candidates in a sample ballot. A copy of the said test voting ballot was released by the Commission on Elections which immediately made the rounds on social media. It was used for a mock election held on Wednesday in preparation for the national and local elections in May 2022. The sample ballot was filled with names of international and local celebrities.
