Iya Villania took to Instagram to warn other parents about the dire effects of wiping the nose too much.
The Mars Pa More host recounted that her son, Primo, had the sniffles and since he is a big boy, he would just independently wipe his nose on his own.
The boy would grab a dry facial tissue or some saline wipes, but normally it would be more of saline wipes.
According to Iya, Primo wiped so much that the nose eventually became inflamed, prompting them to call their doctor, who then advised them to bring their son to the hospital.

What the doctor wanted to avoid was the infection reaching the brain. Thankfully, it is already healing and now, Iya just wanted all parents to be more aware.
"Drew and I never thought this could happen from wiping your nose so much. Primo had the sniffles and so being the big boy he is, he would go ahead and wipe his nose (a mix of dry facial tissue and saline wipes but more of the saline wipes). He wiped so much that eventually the area around his nose got so red and inflamed. Our doc called it out as cellulitis and that if it worsened that he’d have to be admitted as the infection might approach the brain"
