During her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, August 17, host Boy Abunda asked Chariz about being regarded as a potential successor to the three comedy icons. Boy directly posed the question to Chariz, saying, “Ikaw daw ang next Eugene Domingo, Rufa Mae Quinto, Aiai delas Alas... Check or Chariz?”
Chariz welcomed the idea and admitted that she is eager for the opportunity. She even jokingly asked when such an opportunity might come, noting that she is already 36 and wondering what age one should start pursuing that kind of recognition.
“Sana! 'Di ba? Sana check! Kailan ba 'yan? Inip na inip na po ako! 'Tsaka 36 na 'ko ah! Anong age ba dapat nagsa-start?”

She then explained why she does not want to take away from her younger self the dream of possibly becoming the next big name in comedy. For Chariz, there is no reason to dismiss the possibility simply because she is already older.
“Ang ipokrita ko naman kung sabihin kong chariz. Ang pangit din naman sa younger self ko na tinake away ko 'yon sa sarili ko, na kahit man lang 'yung idea na maging next, 'di ba? Bakit ko naman aalisin sa sarili ko 'yon?”
Chariz ultimately made her stance clear and embraced the possibility of following the path of the three comedy icons.
“Sasabihin ko check!”
