On Tuesday, July 14, Rikki Mae took to Instagram to share a black-and-white throwback photo of herself with Ricky, who passed away in May 2025. Alongside the nostalgic photo, she reflected on the many moments and conversations she continues to cherish, revealing how deeply she still feels her father's absence in both her personal life and career.

She began her message by recalling the little things she misses the most about her father, from his personality to the time they spent together.

“I miss you, dad. I miss your laugh, your weird expressions. I miss our fights. I wonder what projects you would have been working on.”

Rikki Mae then shared how Ricky remained one of the people she constantly turned to for guidance, especially while she was working in the entertainment industry. She also fondly remembered the simple everyday interactions that have now become treasured memories.

“I miss calling you when I'm taping and asking for your advice. I miss seeing your name pop up on my phone and getting your texts to fix your Netflix password for the 3rd time.”

She ended her heartfelt tribute by explaining that she still feels closest to her father whenever she is on set, as many of the people she meets have worked with him over the years. Despite his absence, those encounters continue to remind her of his legacy.

“I look for you wherever I go, especially when I work. I feel closer to you when I'm working. There's always someone whose worked with you. I just miss you extra tonight.”
