Kathryn Bernardo shared that while she still has many dreams she hopes to achieve, she has learned the importance of appreciating where she is now instead of constantly focusing on what lies ahead.

Following the unveiling of her Madame Tussauds wax figure in Makati City on Thursday, July 9, Kathryn reflected on how her perspective has changed over the past year. According to a report by ABS-CBN News, the actress said she now places greater value on enjoying the present moment while continuing to pursue her career and personal aspirations.

Kathryn expressed gratitude for the continued support she has received throughout her journey and for the opportunities to keep doing what she loves most.

“I'm just so grateful because I get to do the thing I love the most which is acting, and people continue to believe in me. Thank you for that. I have a lot of goals, but what I’ve learned siguro, especially last year, is that I need to savor everything and just to enjoy it. I don't want to rush anything.”

The actress explained that although she remains ambitious, she realized that being overly focused on the future can sometimes prevent people from appreciating what they already have. She also hinted at several projects that will keep her busy for the remainder of the year.

“I have a lot of goals but sometimes we are so focused on the future that we don't get to appreciate the present anymore. Everything that is happening now — I have a serye that is coming this July and, after that, so many exciting things.”

Beyond her professional achievements, Kathryn said her biggest goal is to live a fulfilling and balanced life while inspiring others, particularly young Filipinas, to pursue their own dreams through dedication and perseverance.

“I just want to be happy and to live a good and balanced life more than anything, and of course I want to inspire more Filipinas out there, especially the younger ones, that you can dream big and it will happen if you put in a lot of hard work.”

Kathryn has several projects lined up for the rest of the year, including the premiere of her upcoming television series, Someone, Someday, this July. More projects and appearances are also expected to follow in the coming months. While she remains excited about what lies ahead, the actress emphasized that she now wants to fully embrace each milestone as it comes, believing that success is more meaningful when it is experienced one step at a time.

Images and videos from the unveiling ceremony were later shared online, offering a closer look at the special milestone.

Earlier, James Reid spoke about the pressure of being paired with Kathryn for the first time in the upcoming romance-thriller series Someone, Someday. He also said the project marks an exciting return to television after years of concentrating on ventures outside the small screen.
