During the conversation, Madam Kring asked Mortiz if there were artists he had helped launch into stardom who eventually forgot where they came from or distanced themselves from those who helped them early in their careers.
“Meron po bang mga artista na napasikat ninyo o naka-trabaho niyo when they were starting na parang, first, yung mga talagang parang na ‘who you’ na kayo. Pangalawa, yung talagang kahit anong mangyari, hindi po talaga kayo nawawala sa tabi niya,” Madam Kring asked.
Mortiz responded by saying that most of the artists he worked with began their careers through programs he was involved in and that he generally had positive experiences with them.

“Wala naman, karamihan naman sa kanila sakin sila nagsimula. Wala pa naman akong na-experience,” he said.
However, the veteran director admitted there was one exception that left an impression on him.
“Pero syempre, alam ko na minsan medyo pasaway siya, hindi niya na-appreciate yung natulong ng show namin diba? So isa lang yun,” Mortiz shared.
Without naming the celebrity, Mortiz recalled that the artist had publicly claimed to have been bullied during their time on the show. According to the director, the production team strongly disagreed with that allegation.
“Sinasabi niya binubully raw siya dun sa show namin, parang ganun. Tapos sabi namin, hindi totoo yan,” he explained.
Mortiz went on to suggest that the celebrity was highly skilled at generating attention and publicity.
“Marunong siyang gumawa ng career eh. Marunong siyang gumawa ng gimik,” he added.
Curious about the identity of the artist, Madam Kring asked if the person remains popular today.
“Sikat pa ba to hanggang ngayon?” she asked.
“Sikat, sikat. Pero wag na nating banggitin,” Mortiz replied.
Madam Kring jokingly remarked that many viewers would likely be able to guess who the person was despite the lack of specifics.
“Pero feeling ko mahuhulaan ng mga Ka-Tsaa natin yan,” she said.
Even so, Mortiz emphasized that he does not allow such situations to affect him personally.
“Pero hindi ako masyadong naaapektuhan. Walang artistang makakaapekto sakin kahit na anong gawin mong ano, hindi ako maaapektuhan,” he said.
The interview quickly generated interest among viewers online, with some netizens speculating about the identity of the unnamed celebrity. However, Mortiz deliberately chose not to provide any clues beyond saying that the person remains famous and had once claimed to have experienced bullying while part of their show.
