The veteran performer reflected on a special moment they shared during his PURE ENERGY… One More Time concert at the Araneta Coliseum on December 22, 2024 — an event that almost didn’t push through because of Gary’s severe dehydration just two nights before.

In his post, Gary shared that Paolo, who also directed the concert, gave him the strength to continue performing despite the challenges. He expressed deep gratitude to his son for being by his side through difficult times, saying that Paolo’s support, prayers, and love helped him finish the concert “with flying colors.”

“I could’ve filled this post with tons of pics but I chose these. This was after PURE ENERGY…One More Time at the Araneta Coliseum on Dec 22, 2024. A concert that almost didn’t happen due to severe dehydration two nights before. But the support I got from my first born son and director Paolo Valenciano really helped in pushing me enough to stand on that stage that night with all the energy I could give…one more time.

You stood by me, walked with me, wept with me, journeyed with me, prayed with me, and together we witnessed a miracle that night as we succeeded with flying colors. Today you celebrate your bday son. These are my most favorite pictures of you and me. Two that will be treasured til my final day. And when I see the King of kings I will embrace and thank Him for you. Happy bday Paolo Valenciano. Gary Valenciano is one of the most famous OPM artists and a television host in the Philippines. He is known as “Mr. Pure Energy” for his energetic and intense performances. He is married to Maria Anna Elizabeth "Angeli" Pangilinan, the sister of Senator Francis Pangilinan. They have three children: Paolo Valenciano, Gab Valenciano, and Kiana Valenciano.

In a past report, Angeli Pangilinan, the wife of Gary Valenciano, posted about the condition of the singer, which necessitated him to cut his show short. She shared that he ingested something and vomited so many times. Despite that, Angeli said that Gary insisted on pushing through with the concert. After sometime, Angeli posted that Gary was okay and that he was simply dehydrated, and even posted a video clip of the singer assuring fans he's okay.

Earlier, Gary V denied rumors in an interview with Ogie Diaz that he would be retiring from showbiz and then made clarifications on the title of his show, which he indicated could be his last major concert in a big venue. According to Mr. Pure Energy, he would continue to perform as long as his heart continue to beat.
