-Naglabas na ang FDA ng listahan ng mga suka sa bansa na mayroong synthetic acetic acidnunpaman, nilinaw ng ahensiya na ligtas naman ang mga ito
-Ganunpaman, nilinaw ng FDA na ligtas ang mga ito at hindi lamang nakapasa sa pamantayan ng gobyerno
-Ayon sa FDA, mag-iinspeksyon sila sa mga pagawaan ng mga sukang nabanggit

Sa pamamagitan ng isang advisory, naglabas na ang Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ng listahan ng mga brand ng suka na mayroong synthetic acetic acid.
Ganunpaman, nilinaw ng FDA na ligtas ang mga ito at hindi lamang nakapasa sa pamantayan ng gobyerno.
"The FDA would like to reiterate that the presence of synthetic acetic acid is not a safety issue and does not pose any health risk to consumers as this only means that the vinegar is of substandard quality.
"The presence of synthetic acetic acid merely represents that the vinegar did not undergo fermentation, either through a slow process, quick process, or submerged culture process which is used for commercial vinegar production,"
Ito ang pahayag ni Health Undersecretary Rolando Domingo sa advisory na kanilang inilabas.

Narito ang mga brand ng suka na tinukoy ng FDA:
- Surebuy Cane Vinegar (Best Before Date: March 26, 2021)
- Tentay Pinoy Style Vinegar (Best Before Date: March 18, 2021)
- Tentay Premium Vinegar (Batch/Lot NO. TV SEP0718AC)
- Tentay VInegar 'Sukang Tunay Asim' (Expiry Date: June 6, 2020)
- Chef's Flavor Vinegar (Expiry Date: April 1, 2021)
Una nang sinabi ng Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) walo sa sampung brand ng suka sa bansa ang "fake", na una nang naiulat ng KAMI.
Ayon sa FDA, mag-iinspeksyon sila mga pagawaan ng mga nasabing kompanya upang matiyak na sumusunod ang mga ito sa kanilang mga pamantayan.
