Veteran comedian Chokoleit passed away on March 9, 2019, shortly after his comedy skit performance during the Kawayan Festival in Abra.
KAMI learned that the celebrity died inside the Abra Provincial Hospital after suffering from pulmonary endema and heart attack.
Moments before his life was taken, the 48-year-old comedian was seen having a difficulty breathing while trying to entertain the audience.
He even seemingly cut his performance short and proceeded to the backstage while still trying to catch his breath.
A photo showing how the famous actor was battling for his life inside the hospital circulated and went viral online.
According to some netizens, the facial expression of Chokoleit while the doctors were trying to help him seemed to be telling that he was really in a difficult time.
