Dennis Trillo has reacted to Gelli de Belen’s opinion regarding the recent issue involving Patrick Garcia and Jennylyn Mercado.

During GTV’s talk show "Chika Cart," Gelli shared her thoughts on the controversy, emphasizing that the issue had grown bigger because Patrick’s daughter was reportedly hurt. She said, "Hindi kailangang maging ganito kalaki kasi the reason why this was brought up was because nasasaktan yung anak ni Patrick. Sa kagustuhan namang makatulong ng ama, parang lalong pang nagkaroon naman ng problema."

Gelli also stressed the importance of considering the children involved and keeping them away from the conflict. She said, "Sana wag nating kalimutan na may mga batang pinag uusap at 'yun naman sila talaga ang pinaka importante dahil yung mga magulang, mga nakakatanda, nakapagmove on na sila sa mga buhay nila. So sana let's show the young ones what is right, what should be done, and not show them all this bad stuff."

A clip featuring Gelli’s comments was later posted on the official Instagram account of "Chika Cart," where Dennis, the husband of Jennylyn, left a series of comments reacting to her statements.

Dennis expressed that he and Jennylyn had remained silent despite the issue, saying, "Nananahimik kami… lahat yan ay natural na reaksyon ng matinong TAO! Pasalamat kayo, dinaan ko nalang sa ganyan. Oo kawawa talaga mga bata, may mga anak din kami! Sisihin mo yung nagsimula ng gulo!"

He then questioned whether Gelli and others involved in the discussion were taking sides. Dennis wrote, "Ako lang ba o parang may kinakampihan ang mga magagaling na ito? Congrats sa new show sa GTV !!!! bagay na bagay kayo jan,"

Dennis also added another remark directed at those who were agreeing with the statements, writing, "Agree lang ng agree ang mga #8080."
