JM opens up on the rumor that Jessy broke up with him due to his drug issues

Even before JM De Guzman graduated from a rehabilitation facility on the second time, JM and Jessy's breakup remained unclear. Some people blamed Jessy for being the person who triggered JM to use illegal drugs again.
As reported by PEP.ph, JM confirmed that Jessy wasn't the reason why he got addicted to drugs after his showbiz comeback in 2015. According to him, being addicted to drugs was actually one of the reasons why they broke up.
It can be remembered in a RATED K interview, JM said that he wasn't sincere in coping up with his problems during his first stay inside the rehab.
He just wanted to get out of it so he pretended that he was completely okay.
"Hindi ako naging sincere and genuine sa pag-confront ko sa issues ko sa first rehab ko." JM confessed.
"Gusto ko lang lumabas, galit na galit ako. Malungkot na malungkot ako deep inside." He added.
That might be the reason why he experienced a relapse and eventually came back to his drug addiction.
JM realized that pretending isn't worth it, he was just fooling himself and the people who support him so he admitted that he isn't well during that time. He sought for a medical help and entered the rehab for the second time around.
"Di kinaya ng guilt ko… parang niloloko ko lang ang mga taong naniwala sa akin. Kinain ako ng konsensiya ko. So, inamin ko." JM confessed.

Now that JM has fully recovered he is very open in sharing how happy and well he is.
He even said in an ABS-CBN interview that he won't mind working with Jessy if given a chance.
"Okay lang sa 'kin kung in-offer po ng management sa amin, kung maganda 'yung istory, nagustuhan namin pareho, mag-agree din 'yung side niya, e wala pong problema sa 'kin," JM said.
In fact, he always greets Jessy's current boyfriend, Luis Manzano, whenever they bumped into each other in the show ASAP.
"Lagi po, lagi we show each other respect. He's my fraternity brother, so sa 'ASAP' every time na magkita kami," JM added.
