Kapamilya actor Makisig Morales opened up about the struggle and the trust needed to maintain a long distance relationship.

He shared the story in Tonight With Boy Abunda.

Makisig moved to Australia with his family, while his girlfriend Vianne Lacay is studying dentistry here in the Philippines.

At first, Makisig admitted that the separation was so hard.

"Mahirap po at first dahil alam ko po na mapapalayo ako. Pero sinabi ko po sa kanya na wala yang distance na yan," said Makisig to host Boy Abunda.

The former Super Inggo star also revealed that Vianne did not believe in long distance relationship too. But Makisig made his case so they can stay as a couple.

"Sabi ko 'wag naman, kaya natin 'to. Tiwala lang," said Makisig.

The actor shared that he and Vianne made sure to talk to each other every day when they were apart.

He also said it boils down to trust and constant assurance so their relationship would be secure.

"Siguro po trust lang, Tito Boy, and lagi mo lang siya ina-assure. It can work," said Makisig.

Vianne was Makisig's best friend in high school. She is also his first girlfriend.

In a previous interview with PUSH, Makisig said he really prayed for his first girlfriend to be his last.

"Pinag-pray ko po talaga kay Lord na kung sino first girlfriend ko, siya 'yung gusto ko makasama habang buhay," said Makisig.

Makisig started in Philippine showbiz by joining reality show Little Big Star. He is best known for his lead role as a child actor in the fantaserye Super Inggo.

He left showbiz in 2014 and migrated to Australia with his family. He was studying to be a chef abroad while working at a fast food restaurant.

The 21-year-old actor returned to showbiz through the new fantasy teleserye Bagani, which also stars Enrique Gil, Liza Soberano, and Sofia Andres.
