Sam Bumatay is the cute and talented young star of GMA 7.

She won the first ever female ultimate survivor of Starstruck Kids back in 2004 along with Kurt Perez.

Because of her wit and charm, she became a cast of GMA's fantaserye Mulawin where she played the role of Lawiswis.

She was even recognized as her generation's Aiza Seguerra for they are not just look-alikes but they were both 'bibo'.

Many are now asking about the whereabouts of Sam since she was not visible in showbiz anymore.

Sam considered her studies first rather than continuing her career in showbiz.

Now, the 19-year-old Sam is taking up a technology related course in University of Sto. Tomas.

Aside from acting, Sam also had a natural ability in leadership for she is a part of their school's student body.

Sam is now a grown-up young lady who is smart and amazing in her own way.

Who knows, after finishing her studies she might come back to showbiz and be a Kapuso star again.
