9 PH celebrities who were detained and convicted
Last October 3, actor Mark Anthony Fernandez was arrested at a checkpoint in Pampanga for illegal possession of marijuana and is facing life imprisonment and a fine of up to P10 million if he gets convicted.

Here is a list of other celebrities who likewise went to prison.
1. Mocha Girls
The all-female pop group were arrested in Malaysia in September 2015. Members of the group were detained in the Malaysian Immigration prison for five days because they were performing without work permit.

2. Robin Padilla
In 1994, action star Robinhood Ferdinand Cariño Padilla or Abdulaziz Padilla in real life was sentenced to serve in jail for illegal possession of firearms by an Angeles City court. He spent more than three years in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
3. Ethel Booba
Comedienne Ethel Booba and her former partnerr PBA player Alex Crisano had an infamous fight that brought the two to a local precinct in Palawan.

4. Billy Crawford
Host-singer Billy Crawford was arrested and detained at a police station in Taguig City on September 17, 2014. He was charged with malicious mischief and disobedience after hitting a desk officer.
5. Deniece Cornejo
Model-stylist Deniece Cornejo spent four months in Camp Crame after the camp of actor-comedian Vhong Navarro filed illegal detention charges against her in May 2014.

6. Bong Revilla
Actor and former Senator Bong Revilla is convicted after he was charged with plunder involving the pork barrel scam.
7. Karen Bordador
Radio DJ and model Karen Bordador along with boyfriend Emilio Lim was arrested after some ecstasy were seized directly from her during a police buy-bust operation in August this year.
