One netizen posted a photo on Facebook which shows a man selling buko salad on the side street of Caloocan City in the Philippines. That was just a normal everyday market scene – only that the man is handicapped.
He cannot walk on his own and his wheelchair is his only thing he has for him to move around.
A. Sabalza was in awe with what he saw and immediately took a snap of the hardworking man. He posted the photo on Facebook and it was seen and shared by many Facebook users. A famous Filipino page in Facebook grabbed the photo and shared it which made the photo viral.
As seen in the photo, the man is wearing a blue shirt and gray pants while sitting on his wheelchair. What's unique about his wheelchair is it isn’t like any other. It doesn't only carry him but the wheelchair carries his stall as well.
Attached on the arm rest are four slim wooden posts that supports the roof. His roof is made up of tarpaulin sheets while in front of him is an ice bucket that contains his supplies – the buko salad.
According to Sablaza, the man constantly roam around the place and anyone who wishes to extend help can find him along the area.
Netizens were amazed of his story and many were commenting in the post, saying that this man deserves recognition and praise.
This served as an inspiration to many who keep on complaining about their life’s situation. This man, despite his disability, still choses to work rather than beg for money or get involved in illegal activities.
