A 39-year-old man was killed after being shot by riding-in-tandem suspects in Barangay Delas Alas, GMA, Cavite on Sunday afternoon, May 3.

Based on a report by ABS-CBN News, the incident happened past 5 p.m. CCTV footage captured a motorcycle rider making a U-turn along a road shortly before the fatal shooting.
Moments later, a man wearing green passed by the area. Shortly after, residents were seen running as gunshots were heard. The victim then ran back toward the direction of the motorcycle, where he was eventually shot by the suspect and his companion.
According to a barangay official, a concerned citizen immediately reported the incident. “May narinig silang putok ng tatlo. May involved nga raw na may binaril na tao. Ang bumaril po ay isang tao at may kasama at nakasakay po sa single motor,” the official said.

The victim’s child also made an emotional appeal to the suspect, urging him to surrender. “Gusto ko lang po iparating sa gumawa sa tatay ko, sumuko na po siya para naman kahit papaano, maibsan po ang nararamdaman namin,” the child said.
The grieving child added, “Sobrang hirap po kasi tulad ko, alam po kung gaano kalapit po ako kay papa. Parang kalahati ng buhay ko, nawala din.”
Police later revealed that the victim had just been released from prison in February after serving three years for a drug-related offense. Investigators are now looking into whether his past case may have been connected to the killing.
Authorities also confirmed that the motorcycle used as a getaway vehicle has already been recovered. “Ang update po natin, na-recover po natin yung motor na ginamit nilang getaway vehicle. So ngayon, nag-request na tayo sa Land Transportation Office para dun sa identification ng motor,” a police officer said.
The police are continuing their investigation to identify and locate the suspects behind the shooting.

In other news, a graduating nursing student has been missing since late April after failing to return home following a visit to a relative's house in Iloilo City. The high-speed pursuit began when the riders refused to comply with official orders to stop for a routine inspection by mobile patrol units. A review of the suspects' criminal history revealed previous involvement in various offenses such as illegal drug possession and vehicle theft.
