Director ‘Direk’ Bobet Vidanes has finally addressed his controversial resignation from the Kapamilya network in one of the latest episodes of "Lunch Out Loud".
On Monday, October 11, KAMI learned that Direk Bobet celebrated his birthday on Lunch Out Loud with the rest of the show’s hosts.
During his birthday party, Direk Bobet clarified a few things about his departure from ABS-CBN, and It’s Showtime.

According to the director, he was not removed by the management but left the Kapamilya channel of his own volition.

“Konting paliwanag lang po, hindi naman ako tinanggal sa ABS-CBN eh, umalis po ako. Nagpaalam ako dun sa management ng maayos at ang sabi po ng management sa akin, alam niyo yan, na kayo ang magpapaliwanag sa mga artist ko.”
Aside from this, Direk Bobet mentioned that if he told his artists he would be leaving, they might follow him as well.
However, Direk Bobet also admitted that he expected the management to explain his departure to his artists.
“For some reason, siguro naman maiintindihan niyo kung sasabihin ko na pag ako lumipat, baka sumama pa sila and you don’t like that. Ayaw ko rin naman yun kaya ipinagbigay tiwala ko sa inyo na kayo na ang magpapaliwanag sa mga artist ko. Ngayon, sinasabi ng artist ko na iniwan ko sila.”

Bobet Vidanes, or 'Direk Bobet', is a famous director in the Philippines known for his shows under ABS-CBN, "Pilipinas, Game KNB?", and "It's Showtime". In 2020, however, the director stunned Kapamilya fans when he left ABS-CBN and his noontime show for good.
As reported earlier by KAMI, Director Bobet Vidanes shed tears on Laugh Out Loud as he explained why he had to leave It's Showtime.
Meanwhile, Director Bobet's sudden departure from the show prompted some of his former artists to express their disappointment about it.
