Director ‘Direk’ Bobet Vidanes turned emotional during his birthday celebration on Lunch Out Loud that he could not control his tears at one point.
On Monday, October 11, KAMI learned that the official YouTube page of LOL posted the video of Direk Bobet’s birthday celebration on the show.
After the hosts took turns in greeting their director, K Brosas gave the floor to Direk Bobet if he had anything to say on his special day.

With the opportunity given to him, Direk Bobet decided to address the past controversies he has been involved in after resigning from ABS-CBN.

It will be recalled that following his resignation, he has also left the noontime show, It’s Showtime, where he previously worked for ten years.
“Baka di ko kayanin kasi never akong nagsalita after ‘kong umalis sa ABS. Ang daming nagpaunlak sakin na baka pwedeng mag-explain ako. Never ‘kong ginawa,” he said.
Before he could explain, Direk Bobet immediately burst into tears which stunned and saddened viewers of the show.
According to Direk Bobet, his time on It’s Showtime had to end since it was not healthy for him anymore.
“Yung pagtatrabaho ko po sa kabila, hindi na po healthy. Mamamatay po akong maaga, ang ganda nung programa pero it’s not healthy anymore. To make it short lang, I’m here sa ‘Lunch Out Loud’ or any program, no pressure, ayan happy naman. It’s not about the money, it’s about health.”

Bobet Vidanes, or 'Direk Bobet', is a famous director in the Philippines known for his shows under ABS-CBN, "Pilipinas, Game KNB?", and "It's Showtime". In 2020, however, the director stunned Kapamilya fans when he left ABS-CBN and his noontime show for good.
As reported earlier by KAMI, Bobet Vidanes' departure from It's Showtime prompted his former artists, Vice Ganda, Ryan Bang, and Ion Perez, to air their sentiments about it.
Meanwhile, Director Bobet also made headlines when he granted a 'negosyo' package to one of the contestants on It's Showtime following their controversial mishap.
