Donnalyn Bartolome stirred her social media followers by posting a defense against accusations about her allegedly plagiarizing a K-pop song by Korean-Canadian singer Jeon So-Mi or popularly known as SOMI.

This is regarding her latest music video ‘HBD’ which premiered last October 11 via her YouTube Channel which is four months after SOMI’s ‘Birthday’ music video was released on June 13.

The allegations started then but the recording artist did not hesitate to reply to the bashing. She stated that this claim was generated over the reason that her music video was released a year late. Apparently, her song was produced back in 2017 to 2018. The single was released first and then it was included in the completed album – ‘Surprise’ by 2018.

Therefore, Donnalyn Bartolome specified that it would have been impossible for her to plagiarize it.
