- Popular rapper Gloc-9 recently shared a bit about his past on social media that inspired many people, particularly those who are losing hope

- Gloc-9 said that at the time, he has decided to go abroad because he thought nothing would come out of his rapping talent

- He applied to be a service crew in a Pizza Hut based in Brunei and was already preparing papers for his eventual departure

- Unfortunately, the then National Statistics Office, now Philippine Statistics Authority, told him they have no record of his birth and so cannot issue him a certified birth certificate needed for his passport

Gloc-9, a popular rapper in the Philippines, recently shared a bit of his past that inspired a lot of people to keep going.

He said that in the past, he was ready to give up on his rapping activities to work abroad.

The rapper said he applied to be one of the service crews in a Brunei-based Pizza Hut.

“Dati Akala ko wala nang magyayare sa pag rarap ko. Inisip ko nalang na mag abroad kaya nag apply akong service crew sa pizza hut sa Brunei,” Gloc 9 said.

He was told he needed a tin number among other requirements.

“Kailangan daw ng tin number kaya kumuha ako sa ermita noon pagkatapos kong magpa medical. Nakapasa ako sa final interview tapos sabi sakin ang sasahurin ko doon kapag ginawa mong peso ay nasa P23,000 libre tirahan at pagkain,” the rapper shared.

He said he was so happy that he immediately set out to get a passport.

“Tuwag tuwa ako kaya dali dali kong inayos ang passport ko. Sabi ko sa sarili ko baka nandito ang swerte ko,” the popular rapper further wrote.

When he arrived at the NSO, however, he was told they have no record of his birth, which he needs to find right away.

“Pag punta ko sa census sabi nila sakin wala akong record doon at kailangan kong hanapin ang original birth certificate ko kung saang ospital ako pinanganak,” he revealed.

As a result, he was not able to go to Brunei and had to continue with his rapping gigs.

The sudden turn of events made him realize that he should try to go on with his talent and soon, he became a very accomplished rapper.

“Doon ako napaisip ng mabuti na baka hindi ako dapat mag aborad. Baka sign yun na ituloy ko ang pag rarap ko. Kaya yun eto parin ako nag rarap. Ingat kayo lagi kitakits soon!!!” Gloc 9 said.

Aristote Condenuevo Pollisco, more popularly known as Gloc-9, is a Pinoy rapper, singer, songwriter, and occasional actor. He was born on October 18, 1977 and is considered as one of the best Pinoy rappers of all time. Gloc-9’s fast-flowing vocal style has propelled him to become one of the most accomplished hiphop artists in the Philippines. Even the late Master Rapper, Francis Magalona, has all praises for Gloc-9, calling him a “a blacksmith of words and letters, and a true Filipino poet.”

Last year, Gloc-9 tried his hand at selling foods online. One of the items he put up for sale were menudo, “Fried Chicken ni Gloc-9, biko, and many more. After doing this for quite some time, the rapper posted a convo he had with someone, who asked him, “Idol, bakit ka nagbebenta ng kung ano-ano? Hindi bagay sayo.” The rapper did not hesitate to answer the person and his response clearly embodied the values that he was standing for. He told the guy that there was nothing wrong with it, and that before he was rapping, he was cleaning garbage bins, toilets, and canals.

A couple of months ago, Gloc-9 also shared his graduation pic which was almost 11 years old now. He revealed he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing but still, he opted to continue with his rapping gigs. He did say, however, that he cannot rap forever and if given the chance, he would perform tasks related to the course he graduated from.
