Angel Aquino might have let something secret slip out when she remarked during an interview with G3 San Diego that they, meaning the cast of ‘Ang Probinsyano,’ are on their ‘ultimate last lock-in taping.’
The actress was being interviewed along with Iya Villania-Arellano and Chesca Garcia Kramer in relation to the ‘Us Girls’ talk show.
About 42 minutes into the interview, Cheska was telling all three to come and visit her, at which point, Angel said: “G, let’s go! After our last lock-in sa ‘Probinsyano,’ let’s go! C’mon!”
Hearing Angel say about a ‘last lock-in,’ she immediately asked: “Wait, Angel, hanggang kailan pa ba ang 'Probinsyano?' Would you know?”
Angel then said something that many staff at ABS-CBN might not be aware of yet.
“Well, we're scheduled for our 'ultimate last lock-in' but we still don't know that, we don't know if they'll change their minds,” the actress answered, eliciting a side comment from Iya who asked: “Totoo ba yan? Last na ba talaga yan?”
Angel, who plays the role of Gen. Diana Olegario in the action series, told Iya and the rest that she is not yet sure about what will happen.
“Di nga natin alam. But we'll see. We're, yung lahat ng, kami, naka-ending mode na kami, but then we still don't know. We don't know if ABS will decide to extend the show,” Angel answered.
The ABS-CBN action-drama series ‘Ang Probinsyano’ is the longest-running series of its kind on Philippine TV, airing over 1,300 episodes as of 2021.
