Ellen Adarna has been doing her usual question and answer on her Instagram Stories where she responds to inquiring netizens to satiate their curiosity as well as give them advice.
In her most recent Instagram post, a netizen asked her, "What is the meaning of your tattoo on your upper thigh?" Ellen shared a video of her tattoo which was inked in black. The tattoo was simply the word "freedom" surrounded by small birds.
The actress shared the touching meaning behind the tattoo. As most people know, her family is very important to Ellen which is why she decided to permanently ink their symbols on her body.

According to the actress, each of the tattooed birds symbolizes a family member. Ellen also shared that she chose birds to symbolize their family because of their surname, Adarna.
In Philippine literature, the name Adarna will forever be associated with the famous story, "Ibong Adarna", which was a story about a mythical bird that can make people fall asleep with its song."
