- A netizen claimed that Pinoy celebrities are ruining Youtube
- Wil Dasovich speaks up his thoughts about it
- According to Wil, the Artistas are actually helping the Youtube community gain more viewers
Wil Dasovich shared his thoughts on the issue of Pinoy celebrities ruining Youtube. In his latest vlog called “Are Artistas Ruining Youtube? (REAL TALK)”, he speaks up about it.
The concern was raised due to more and more Pinoy celebrities joining Youtube and started their own personal vlogs. A netizen questioned the issue and claimed that they should be earning enough from their own respective traditional media networks and that they should give the digital platform exposure to the vlog content creators.
“Bakit halos lahat ng mga sikat na artista may Youtube Channel na? I mean, hindi pa ba sapat ang kinikita niyo sa ABS at GMA? Ibigay niyo na sa mga content creators. Wala naman talaga akong magagawa pero napupunta sa kanila ang views eh ang yayaman nanamannila. Hehe”

On the other hand, according to Wil, this actually helps the Youtube community. Back then, when he just hit 100,000 subscribers, his content views also reach hundreds of thousands but never to millions.
But since artists are putting up their personal channel, they are bringing in the mainstream media viewers in the digital platform. Therefore, more subscribers, more views and more advertisers to the vlogging community overall.
He stated, “Ultimately artistas coming to YouTube brings more viewers on the platform and in return this brings more advertisers so everyone wins.”
Wil Dasovich is a former actor and vlogger. He is one of the prominent Youtube vloggers in the Philippines. He even joined the famous reality show Pinoy Big Brother to promote his beliefs in vlogging being a profession.
