Idol Raffy Tulfo of the popular show, Raffy Tulfo In Action, announced last night through a telephone call to his RTIA staff that he will go on self-quarantine for 14 days.
He said that he will continue to be on the show, albeit only through telephone as he will remain isolated inside his room.
Earlier, his driver complained of having flu-like symptoms, which is why when both he and Raffy arrived home, the radio anchor asked his driver to isolate himself.
The following morning, both submitted themselves to a COVID-19 swab test at the St. Luke’s Medical Center.
After a couple of hours, the test results came out with Raffy’s driver showing positive for COVID-19 infection.
Idol Raffy’s result, on the other hand, came out negative but to be safe, he decided to go on a 14-self-quarantine.
During his public announcement of what happened, Tulfo also took the opportunity to call on companies in the Philippines, whether public or private, to be open to their employees.
He asked these companies to immediately inform their employees if there is a positive case among them.
Tulfo also revealed that he has asked the management of TV5 to do this and they agreed to his suggestion.
