Brian Velasco, the drummer of the Filipino rock band Razorback, committed suicide yesterday, January 16, 2019.
He took his own life by jumping off a condominium building and streaming it live on Facebook.
According to PEP.ph, Velasco used to play for bands such as Brain Salad and DRT.
In 1996, he officially became the drummer of Razorback, which officially confirmed his death with a Facebook post that reads: “Today we lost our brother and our hearts are broken. We love you and we will always miss you Bri. #rzrbk"

One of the members of Razorback, Tirso Ripoll, had this to say about Velasco:
“Skills you can learn, but you can’t teach how to be a nice guy. You can’t teach how to be a real brother.”
Aside from being the drummer of Razorback and a drum instructor, he also pursued a culinary course at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies.
Based on his Facebook photos, he seemed to have been in a relationship with a girl named Portia Carlos, although it is not known whether they were still together as a couple at the time of his death.
He was also very close to his pet dog Alfie, who passed away in 2018.
