DepEd releases new school calendar for SY 2020-2021; makes known end of class

- The Department of Education has released the schedule of activities for school year 2020-2021

- It outlined the sequence of activities and indicated that the end of the academic quarter is June 5, 2022

- The last day of the school year is June 11 and the summer classes would start on June 14 up to July 23

- Many of the activities listed in the schedule would be dependent on the approval of the IATF

The Department of Education has released the list of school activities for the school year 2020-2021.

It indicated that the start of teaching and learning activities is on October 5.

The start of the Christmas break is on Dec. 19 and the classes will be resuming on January 4.

The DepEd also considered holding the NAT for Grade 12, as well as the NCAE. The former will be on the fourth week of January, while the latter on the third week.

The holding of both exams will be highly dependent on the approval of the IATF. Philstar released the actual schedule given by DepEd. It must be noted also that there would be no semestral breaks anymore.
