DJ Loonyo has been facing a series of backlash from the online community after his ex-girlfriend, Aika Flores posted some serious allegations against the internet celebrity in a lengthy online post.

The said viral post was made after DJ Loonyo's feature episode in Magpakailanman aired on Saturday, July 18.

Following this news, KAMI learned that the internet celebrity finally released an open letter regarding his story which was featured in the said episode.

In his online post, the internet celebrity began by addressing the reactions of the said episode elicited from the viewers, "Ngayong July 19, 2020, umere sa programang "Magpakailanman" ang life story ni Rhemuel Lunio, a.k.a. DJ Loonyo.

"Naturally and expectedly, there are varied reactions to the story as it was told through the eyes of the creative staff of the program."

His team then addressed the post of his ex-girlfriend in the said open letter.

"First and foremost, DJ Loonyo conducted an interview to share intimate and publicly unknown details about his life for the coverage, with the request to omit or leave out some sensitive parts, particularly pertaining to his son.

"We, as a management and team, signed a contract allowing the program to enhance certain aspects of his life, because it is still, in fact, for a dramatic TV show retelling."

They also mentioned that they worked with the writing staff to limit certain references to his past love story and that they asked to change the names of the people involved.

Furthermore, DJ Loonyo's team also apologized to the people who were offended by the retelling of his story in Magpakailanman.

"On behalf of Rhemuel or DJ Loonyo (however you may want to refer to him), we would like to sincerely apologize to the individuals or their families who were offended by the retelling of his life story. We genuinely mean no offense, nor wish any ill or harm on anyone, most of all that of his son."

The internet celebrity recently made headlines on social media after he aired his thoughts and opinions about the usage of face masks amid the pandemic.

His statement eventually caught the attention of Megan Young's sister, Lauren Young who called him 'bobo' in her online post.
