Mayor Vico Sotto shared on Monday that he officiated the wedding of two couples in Pasig City.
KAMI learned that the couples were able to get their marriage license even before the enhanced community quarantine was implemented.
In a tweet, Sotto also shared that the couples were allowed to remove their masks for five seconds to have their first kiss as newlyweds.
“Officiated the wedding of 2 couples today. Nakakuha sila ng marriage license bago pa mag-ECQ,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Pinayagan silang magtanggal ng mask, 5 seconds lang para mag-kiss!” he added.
The Pasig Mayor also reminded those who have expiring marriage license to contact the local government to schedule their civil wedding ceremony.
