Rica started acting at the age of 12 years in 1993. She performed in the ABS-CBN’s youth show known as Ang TV. In 1997 she acted on T.G.I.S on GMA-7. Since then, she has appeared in numerous television shows and films.
She debuted as a singer in 1995 with an album titled “Fallin.” In 1999 she released another solo album titled "Ikaw Pa Rin at Ako.”
