John Lloyd Cruz admitted through a lengthy social media post that his much-talked-about video call with Bea Alonzo was scripted.
KAMI learned that the actor and his on-screen partner recently exchanged cheesy lines through a video conversation that aired live on Instagram.
Many people became really happy while watching the said live video and the names of the two celebrities even became trending in the online world.
However, a few hours after the call ended, John Lloyd revealed that the lines they said were actually written by Antoinette Jadaone.
He said that the production team thought of an unusual way to tell a romantic story amid the enhanced community quarantine.
In the latter part of his post, the actor encouraged all filmmakers and artists to explore and “use every stage imaginable” to tell a wonderful story.
“The Unconfined Cinema was founded on the idea of exploring what else cinema could be, freeing our stories to be told outside of the traditional spaces and conceptual boundaries… In a time when movie production is impossible, we found it especially pressing to find ways to tell our stories,” he quipped.
“This is a platform where we all share little bits of ourselves… The Unconfined Cinema invites filmmakers and artists to join us in exploring the possibilities of our cinema. Not just on Instagram, but on every stage imaginable,” he added.
In a previous article by KAMI, John Lloyd subtly aired an appeal to the government amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
