Song about COVID-19 to the tune of Yoyoy Villame's ‘Magellan’ goes viral

- A Filipino citizen named Rudy Tutor recently made a song about coronavirus disease 2019 to the tune of Yoyoy Villame’s hit song Magellan

- He uploaded his video on Facebook where he is singing the song he called The COVID19 Song

- The video then went viral and gained positive comments from the netizens

- Even the television host and weather anchor, Kuya Kim Atienza, expressed his amusement on Rudy’s song about the pandemic

Filipinos are known for making any unfortunate situation light and finding humor in times of crises.

As attestation, a citizen from Bohol named Rudy Tutor recently made a song about coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to the tune of late singer Yoyoy Villame’s hit song Magellan.

Rudy uploaded on Facebook the video where he is singing and recording the song he called The COVID19 Song.

“Let's have fun to lessen boredom & fear and boost our immune system,” he wrote in the caption.

Part of its lyrics was, “In month of December 2019, Wuhan discovered the virus COVID-19. It’s spreading day and night across the big ocean, until it landed in the Philippine island.”

His video went viral after he made the netizens impressed with his talent in songwriting.

KAMI learned that even the television host and weather anchor, Kuya Kim Atienza, loved Rudy’s song about the pandemic.

“Ang cute ni tatay. Pinoys can make light of any situation including a pandemic. Good vibes amidst #covid_19,” Kuya Kim said in an Instagram post.

The COVID-19 Song’s video also garnered positive comments from the netizens:

“Ganda ng lyrics, swak ang melody and pati ang boses kuhang kuha.”
