Kuk Son Yung or mostly known as Shine Kuk, was born on September 20, 1993, in South Korea. This Korean girl with a Filipino heart studied Consular and Diplomatic Affairs at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
She won the title as You're my Foreignay - Eat Bulaga's segment of the same name. The contest was open to pure female foreigners who are 100% Filipino at heart.
After winning in the said television show, she subsequently appeared on other television shows, including Unang Hirit, I-Juander, Ryzza Mae Show, Motorcycle Diaries, and Sunday All-Stars.
She was also able to show her acting skills when she appeared alongside Philippine actors Luke Conde and Kean Cipriano in the 2016 comedy movie That Thing Called Tanga Na. That was the first Shine Kuk movie exposure, and she made a pretty well first impression.
Aside from her talents, Shine is also a real stunner. Her beauty and wit made her become part of another beauty contest. Shine Kuk Miss Korea Philippines journey was a success because she was able to win the crown and the title in 2018.
She has also been part of Banana Sundae (a Philippine comedy gag show) from 2017 to 2018.

On the other hand, Shine Kuk and Yohan Hwang were former workmates in the mini-drama advertisement of Boysen (a brand for paint). The two look cute together in the said advertisement, that is why some viewers thought that they were in a relationship.
