An online post has claimed that Vice President Leni Robredo said that the K-12 program should have an additional two years in senior high school.

However, KAMI learned that the claim was misleading the netizens.

As reported by Rappler, the post mentioned that Robredo allegedly said that there should be four years in junior high school and then another four in senior high school.

“Kulang pa ang K to 12 education system natin. Kelangan apat na taon sa Junior HS at apat na taon sa Senior HS,” it read in the post.

Through a Facebook post, Robredo herself has clarified the issue.

In a report by CNN Philippines, Robredo said that she is open to reviewing the K-12 program to determine the issues following the implementation.

So ‘pag ganun ‘yung kakulangan, talagang mahihirapan maghanap ng trabaho kasi hindi handa,” Robredo said.
