Richard Le, 47, his wife Linh Hoang, 30, and their 5-year-old daughter Katie Le were among the victims of the recent tragedy at the Lapu-Lapu Day festival, according to Richard’s brother, Toan Le.

The family was attending the event when the incident occurred. Richard was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday morning, while Linh and Katie were rushed to the hospital, where they later died from their injuries, CBA reported.
Toan shared that Richard leaves behind a 16-year-old son, Andy, who had stayed home that day. Linh, Andy’s stepmother, had raised him as her own.
"His entire life just changed overnight," Toan said, speaking about Andy’s sudden loss. “The family is trying to stay strong for Andy,” he added.

Andy, who dreams of becoming a professional badminton player, had been training under the guidance of his father.
Richard was deeply involved in supporting his son's aspirations, acting as both coach and mentor.
Toan also reflected on the life of young Katie, who had recently completed pre-school. She was the youngest victim of the attack and brought immense joy to those around her.
"She was the life of the party. She was always so cheerful, happy. She always wants to play with her cousins," Toan said.
"We're going to miss her so much."

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
