A 17-year-old girl was found dead inside a suitcase in a vacant lot in Pattaya, Thailand, according to a report by Unang Balita.

The report said police discovered the victim's body on Saturday evening after the suitcase was found in the vacant lot. Authorities identified the victim as a 17-year-old teenager who was last seen alive in the early hours of June 25.

According to investigators, the teenager was seen entering a condominium building with an Australian man. Later that evening, CCTV footage reportedly captured the same man pulling a suitcase out of the building.

Police said the suspect then rode away on a motorcycle while carrying the suitcase. Investigators believe he later abandoned it in the vacant lot where the victim's body was eventually discovered.

The Australian suspect was arrested at the airport on Saturday night while preparing to board a flight back to Australia.

In an interview shown by Unang Balita, the man denied killing the teenager. However, police said the suspect told investigators that "he did not intend to kill the victim."

Authorities have filed charges against the suspect, including murder, concealing a corpse, moving or destroying a corpse, and abduction of a minor for indecent purposes. The investigation remains ongoing as Thai authorities continue to gather evidence related to the case.

In other news, a tragic altercation in Bocaue resulted in the death of a 45-year-old woman after she was reportedly attacked by her younger half-brother. Law enforcement officials indicated that the conflict was triggered by a disagreement regarding a request for fare money.
