He denied the accusation that he wants to be a senator because his showbiz career is on the decline. According to Robin, he is still an in-demand actor who can go to any network and get offered projects for the price he wants.
His main goal, if elected senator, is to advocate for federalism as the new system of government in the Philippines. If federalism is adopted by the country, Robin promised to step down from politics. He added that he has plans to become an imam after his senate run.

“Wala pong pera sa pulitika. Hindi po ako yung klase na kikita dito… Kahit saan akong pumuntang network, tatanggapin ako at bibigyan ako ng trabaho at sa presyong gusto ko,” Robin told Karen.
Robin Padilla is a famous action star and endorser in the Philippines. He is married to actress-host Mariel Padilla. The actor has two children with Mariel – Isabella and Gabriela. He is also the father of actress Kylie Padilla, the wife of Aljur Abrenica. Robin is running for senator in the upcoming elections.
