A man was hospitalized after his kumpare allegedly stabbed him in the left side of his chest during a dispute over a P120 debt in Barangay San Luis, Antipolo City, Rizal. The suspect has surrendered to authorities but denied owing money to the victim and is now facing a frustrated ho*micide complaint.

According to a report by Gabriel Gonzales on GMA News' Unang Balita on Friday, the victim said the confrontation began when he attempted to collect the money from his friend. The suspect reportedly became angry and insisted that he had no outstanding debt.
The argument eventually turned physical after the victim kicked the suspect, further escalating the tension between them. The suspect allegedly entered the victim's house and stabbed him in the chest as the confrontation continued.
The victim described how the attack happened, saying, “Hindi po kami nagkaintindihan. Nagkaroon po ng medyo pisikalan, nagkamaling salita. Hindi ko naman po alam na... Ganu’n na pagkatalikod ko, papasok po siya sa amin, bigla niya na lang po akong sinaksak,”

The victim's relatives sought assistance from barangay officials, but when personnel arrived at the location, the injured man had already been taken to a hospital.
Simeon Rodriguez, a Barangay Public Safety Officer (BPSO) in Barangay San Luis, said the suspect voluntarily surrendered. Authorities arrested him after confirming the stabbing and brought him for a medical examination before transferring him to Antipolo Police Community Precinct 2.
The knife allegedly used in the attack was not recovered.
While in custody, the suspect maintained that he did not owe the victim P120. He also claimed that the victim kicked him and that other people joined in against him during the altercation. He expressed regret over what happened.
The victim, meanwhile, said he intends to continue with the complaint, emphasizing that his life was put at risk and that he has two children. The suspect remains detained as the case proceeds.
In another report, a man sustained injuries after being mobbed by seven to 10 people at the plaza in Dueñas, Iloilo. A video of the incident showed several men surrounding the victim and repeatedly kicking him. Initial police information indicated that the victim had gone to the area to confront someone who allegedly hurt his sibling.
Meanwhile, a man died after being shot outside a school in Barangay Prinza, Teresa, Rizal, on Thursday afternoon. The incident prompted a police manhunt and left his family mourning his death. According to GMA News' “Unang Balita,” the victim was shot in the head at around 4 p.m. The suspect reportedly fled immediately after the shooting. A viral video showed the victim lying on the ground as his live-in partner remained by his side while carrying their infant child.
