Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino has opened up about a difficult experience with a former showbiz girlfriend, revealing how disagreements over material things once made him question his understanding of love and relationships.

The actor discussed the experience during his appearance on the “Chika o Add to Cart” segment of GTV’s Chika Cart on Thursday, October 8. He chose to answer a sensitive question about whether he had been traumatized by a former girlfriend who frequently asked him to buy things for her.
Rocco responded candidly, explaining that his feelings at the time were influenced by how much he loved his partner.
“May pagka. [Sabi ko], 'Ha? Gano'n ba ang relasyon?' Siyempre, mahal mo, ibibigay mo lahat,” Rocco said.

He also recalled a particular incident when the two had a disagreement after drinking together. According to the actor, the situation escalated when his former girlfriend confronted him about how he treated her.
“May time na nagkainuman, nalasing. Alam mo, minsan kapag lasing ka, lumalabas 'yung mga tunay. Parang inaway ako nang biglaan. Sabi, 'Hindi mo ako tinatrato na parang prinsesa, hindi na kita mahal,'” Rocco recalled.
The experience left him reflecting on whether such expectations were a normal part of being in a relationship. It also prompted him to consider whether something was already wrong with their relationship.
Rocco explained that he had been willing to spend money on his girlfriend because he loved her, making it difficult for him to recognize the situation from a different perspective at the time.
When the show's hosts asked whether the incident contributed to their breakup, the actor acknowledged that it could have played a role, although he did not present it as the definite reason for their separation.
