A 22-year-old SUV driver was reported to be in good condition after his vehicle overturned at Fuente Osmeña Circle in Cebu City.

The accident happened on Sunday morning, August 2, 2026. According to a video report shared by GMA News, the SUV crashed into the center island before flipping over.
CCTV footage captured the entire incident. The recording showed the SUV traveling along the road before it suddenly struck the raised center divider. The force of the impact caused the vehicle to lose its balance and overturn near the center island.
The impact caused the SUV to overturn and come to a stop near the center island. No collision with another moving vehicle was seen before the SUV flipped.

Authorities later confirmed that the 22-year-old motorist was in good condition following the accident. The GMA report did not identify him by name.
A separate report by Cebu Daily News said the driver allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel. The vehicle reportedly lost control while navigating the curve and eventually struck the center island.
However, authorities have yet to release a final finding on what caused the accident. The investigation remained ongoing at the time of the report.
Officials were expected to examine the available CCTV footage and other information connected to the incident. These could help investigators determine what happened before the SUV crashed.
The video also showed the force of the collision, which left the vehicle overturned in the middle of the busy area. The footage was later shared by GMA Regional TV News and GMA News on their social media platforms.
