According to a report by Balitanghali, the two personalities are also a couple who reportedly had financial and personal disagreements with the victim.

PNP chief General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said investigators are looking at an unpaid debt worth around ₱8 million as the possible reason behind the incident.

Nartatez explained that the conflict may have been connected to the victim’s profession. He added that investigators are now considering personal disagreements arising from the reported debt.

The financial dispute is currently seen as the main motive in the case. However, authorities are still gathering evidence as part of their continuing investigation.

Previous reports raised other possible angles, including the victim’s work as a political content creator. The latest police findings, however, reportedly point to the debt and personal conflict involving the two business partners.

The alleged masterminds have not been publicly identified. It was also not stated in the Balitanghali report whether the two are already in police custody.

A separate report said the couple had been charged with murder. However, the filing of a complaint does not necessarily mean that they have already been arrested.

The vlogger was killed outside her residence in Caloocan City on July 17. Her live-in partner was also injured during the incident but survived.

Several days later, police arrested two men believed to have carried out the crime. The alleged gunman, 58, and the suspected motorcycle driver, 48, were apprehended in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, on July 23.

The arrested suspects are reportedly different from the business partners now being tagged as the alleged masterminds. Investigators believe the two men may have been hired to carry out the plan.

Police previously filed complaints against the arrested suspects. Authorities then continued tracing the individuals who allegedly planned and ordered the crime.

The PNP has not yet announced whether other individuals could face complaints in connection with the case. Investigators are also expected to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the reported debt and personal disagreement.

Authorities assured the public that the investigation remains active. More information may be released once additional evidence has been verified.
