According to investigators, the rider, identified as Teteng, allegedly watched the surroundings during the incident. Jad, meanwhile, was identified as the suspected gunman.
The actual shooting was not captured by the security camera. However, the footage reportedly helped investigators trace the movements of the men suspected of participating in the crime.
Authorities said illegal drúgs may have been connected to the motive behind the shooting. The victim’s family firmly denied that she was involved in illegal drug activities.
Her relatives said she was only dragged into a problem involving her live-in partner.
Police eventually arrested Teteng and Unyok during an operation. Officers also reportedly recovered suspected illegal drúgs and a loaded firearm from the two suspects.
The exact value of the suspected shabu confiscated from them was unclear in the video transcript. For this reason, the amount was not included to avoid presenting an inaccurate detail.
The two suspects are now under police custody. Both declined to issue a statement regarding the allegations against them.
According to the report, Teteng and Unyok are facing multiple complaints. The specific complaints to be filed against each suspect were not mentioned as the investigation remains ongoing.
Police are continuing their operation to locate and arrest Jad. Authorities have yet to release further details about the alleged role of each suspect in the shooting.
