Riding-in-tandem suspects who allegedly robbed a burger stand in Pandi, Bulacan have been arrested following separate police operations, according to a report by Balitanghali.

The robbery happened at around 3 a.m. on July 12. CCTV footage showed the two suspects arriving on a motorcycle before carrying out the robbery. One of the men allegedly entered the burger stand and declared a hold-up, while his companion waited outside on the motorcycle.

The suspects reportedly escaped with more than ₱3,000 in cash and the vendor's cellphone.

Later that evening, police arrested the 24-year-old suspect who was identified as the back rider during a hot pursuit operation. Authorities tracked him down in Barangay Kakarong Bata after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen.

A police officer explained how the witness identified the suspect.

"Pumunta kami doon upang ah beripahin kasama yung witness. At pagdating namin doon ay nakita noong witness namin na ito nga yung back ride na nanghold up. Mabilis namin siyang dinakip doon mismo nasa loob ng bahay niya."

Police recovered a knife, clothing, and a helmet believed to have been used during the robbery. Officers also seized more than five grams of suspected shabu and a firearm loaded with three rounds of ammunition. According to authorities, the suspect failed to present legal documents for the firearm.

Police also said the recovered evidence would undergo forensic examination to determine whether it had been used in other crimes.

The other suspect, a 25-year-old man believed to have driven the motorcycle used in the robbery, was arrested earlier on Monday. Police also recovered the motorcycle, whose plate number matched the one seen in the CCTV footage.

The suspects reportedly declined to comment on the robbery complaint filed against them. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old suspect is also facing additional charges for alleged violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Dr*gs Act and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

In other news, a tragic altercation in Bocaue resulted in the death of a 45-year-old woman after she was reportedly attacked by her younger half-brother. Law enforcement officials indicated that the conflict was triggered by a disagreement regarding a request for fare money. The victim suffered several fatal injuries during the encounter and was pronounced dead prior to her arrival at the local hospital. Following the incident, the 33-year-old suspect was taken into custody by police and is anticipated to be charged with murder.
