A college graduate was rushed to the hospital after being shot outside a school in Pantukan, Davao de Oro, shortly after attending a graduation ceremony on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

The shooting took place at around 1:00 p.m. while the victim and family members were about to board their vehicle outside the campus. The attack happened just moments after the graduation event had concluded, alarming students, parents, and school personnel in the area.

Investigators said unidentified suspects carried out the attack before fleeing the scene aboard a minivan that had no license plates.

The victim suffered four gunshot wounds after being hit by bullets fired from a .45-caliber handgun. Emergency responders immediately brought the graduate to a hospital for treatment.

In a separate report by GMA Regional TV, police said the victim is now in stable condition despite sustaining multiple gunshot injuries.

Authorities have yet to identify the gunmen and are continuing their investigation to determine both the identities of those involved and the motive behind the attack.

Police are examining available evidence and gathering information that could help track down the suspects, who managed to escape immediately after the shooting.
