Netizens reacted negatively to alleged claim of Rev. Apollo Quiboloy, founder and leader Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name, Inc regarding Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray's win.

The Davao-based pastor allegedly said Catriona's win was because of his intervention and his direct hand as the God of the Universe.

According to a report by Rabashika Rabakanda News, in an event attended by hundred of his church's followers and Catriona's impersonator, he allegedly directly claimed to be responsible for the Philippine bet's success.

“Hindi totoo na nagkataon lamang na siya ay Miss Universe at ako ang God of the Universe,” explained Rev. Quiboloy. “Kalooban ko na mangyari na siya ang manalo. May direct hand ako diyan. Dahil sa akin na God of the Universe kaya nanalo si Catriona #Quibcat.”

He earlier claimed several times that he is the God of the Universe.

In the stage where he spoke in fron of his followers, these words were written: “Owner of the World."
